Association of Roma women "better future" Tuzla organized a division of school supplies for pupils of the Roma population, which has provided Care International. The aim of these traditional activities to keep Roma children in school.
A large number of Roma families are not able to provide for their little ones basic school supplies due to the fact that they are in social need, and among them there are those who have suffered damage in the recent floods.
The Association has endeavored to ensure that these children provide everything they need to go to the classroom. Approximately 40 pupils on Monday will go to schools with new, properly equipped backpacks. Otherwise, the goal of this activity, which has become the traditional, is that more Roma children attend and graduate from school, emphasized the Indira Bajramovic, president of the Association.
President of the Association points out that, unfortunately, this year there are less Roma children in schools, and the reason for this is is poverty. She appealed to the competent institutions to try to provide better living conditions to these, and other families who are in social need, so that more children have the opportunity to be educated and thus allow themselves a brighter future.
School supplies have elicited smiles on children's faces, and from the Association are hoping that that joy will last until the end of the school year.
